According to Alex Cranberg of Denver-based Aspect Energy:
>>Saudi Arabia has only 55 (oil pumping) rigs working compared to 1,500 in the US. It could profitably (put into production) 500-1,000 rigs at even $20/bbl. If it did, the world would be awash in oil.
>>Technology is being used TODAY in numerous places to turn very common big (tar) and little (gas) petroleum molecules into nice, oily medium-sized ones (the stuff that high-grade crude is made of). Canada's tar sands alone are likely to produce 5 million bbl/day within a few years.
>>The biggest (natural) gas field in Texas today is a new field producing "shale gas" from titht rocks that even the most optimistic analysts excluded from possible petroleum sources several years ago. The world of petroleum is being revolutionaized by higher prices and the technology that those prices stimulate (this means: Boomtimes in petroleum).
Couple this with the hundreds and perhaps THOUSANDs of years-worth (at TODAY's usage rates) of oil the major oil producers recently admitted is or will be available, and you wonder what the rush is to force Americans to stop using cars and depend on unproven, inefficient and unreliable sources for energy such as wind.
So why don't the ecocommunists say anything about all this?
