Aaltovoima - tietääkö kukaan mitään tarkempaa asiasta?

Onko kellään tietoa onko tuota Salter's Duckia ikinä otettu missään suuremmassa skaalassa käyttöön tai onko aikomuksia tehdä näin? Tai muista projekteista mitä ei olisi tuolla wikipediassa mainittu?

Näin teoriassa minusta vaikuttaa erittäin potentiaaliselta energiatuotantotavalta nykyisen vesivoiman lisäksi. Tuonhan voisi ottaa käyttöön niin monessa paikassa. Huomattavasti parempi teoriassa kuin tuulivoima mielestäni, aallothan tulevat melko tasaisesti (?).

"Professor Stephen Salter of Edinburgh University. The Salter Duck was designed for operating in the open sea. It consists of floats, ‘ducks’, which nod as waves pass. This oscillating action generates electricity by compressing air to drive turbines. In 1985, the first full-scale pilot plant was built in Norway and produced electricity at 4p/kWh."

"Salter Ducks

Salter Ducks were originally developed in the 1970s at Edinburgh University. Their main objective is to exploit the maximum amount of potential wave energy resource produced in the UK.

Design:
Consists of 54 floating cylinders on each of 8 spine lengths. Each cylinder is 90m x 14m with a weight of 11,000 tonnes. These spines are moored in 100m depth water. Digital hydraulics juggle pressure among hydraulic circuits turning slow bi-directional movement of the float into the high-speed rotation of a generator which converts the energy to grid electricity.
